BPD IN THE COMMUNITY: Officers from District C-11 Have Great Time Getting to Know the Kids from Project BIND!!!

BPD IN THE COMMUNITY: On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) stopped by the Boys & Girls Club of Dorchester to participate in an event with Project B.I.N.D. For those not familiar with the organization or the acronym, Project B.I.N.D. (Boston Inclusion Network for Disabilities) is an initiative at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester specifically designed to encourage and cultivate the educational and social advancement of children with special needs throughout Dorchester and surrounding neighborhoods. As you can well imagine, our officers had an absolute blast hanging out with the kids and the kids seemed particularly excited about getting to know some of our officers. During the get-together, the kids and our officers talked about safety issues and concerns while dining on pizza and playing one of the coolest board games of all time, that - of course - being, Connect 4. Special thanks to Director Michelle Cannon for facilitating this meaningful event. Our officers are already looking forward to the next one.
