Keeping Boston Safe: BPD Officers Seize Drugs and Money in Dorchester: At about 11:28am, on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for a fight and possibly a person with a gun in the area of 62 Elm Hill Avenue in Dorchester. While en route to the call, officers learned that two males seen fighting in front of the address had both entered the building. On arrival, officers were directed to a 2nd floor apartment where officers located one of the combatants. Fearing the presence of a weapon, officers promptly conducted a pat frisk of the suspect. While no weapon was discovered, officers did uncover a bag containing several small plastic bags of a brown-colored substance believed to be heroin. Officers arrested Eladio Ruiz, 40, of Boston and charged him with Trafficking Class A Drugs (Heroin). In addition to the above, officers located and seized over $800.00 dollars in US Currency.
