Keeping Boston Safe: BPD Officers Arrest Six Suspects After Recovering Large Amount of Drugs, Cash and a Loaded Firearm in Dorchester

At about 10:40 AM on Thursday March 30, 2017, officers assigned to the District E-5 (West Roxbury) Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant as part of a lengthy investigation in the area of 41 Greenock Street in Dorchester.  Officers recovered 390 grams of heroin, 16 grams of cocaine, $3,169.00 in U.S. Currency and a loaded .22 caliber Walther semi-automatic handgun.  As a result, the officers placed six suspects at the address in custody without incident.  Jose Montanez, 22, of Dorchester, Adriel Nunez, 21, of Dorchester, Frank Rosario, 24, of Dorchester, Christian Rivera, 29, of Dorchester, Jean Carlos Zapata, 27, of Dorchester and Jorge Nunez-Marte, 52, of Queens, NY, have all been arraigned in Dorchester District Court on numerous charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Trafficking Class A and B Drugs. 

Upon further investigation, officers learned that Jean Carlos Zapata, who had originally provided a false name during the booking process, was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Suffolk Superior Court for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Armed Robbery and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
