Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Two Suspects in Custody Following Brazen Daytime Breaking and Entering in Hyde Park

 

At about 2:54 PM on Monday, March 6, 2017, officers assigned to District E-18 (Hyde Park) placed two juvenile suspects in custody after responding to a call for a breaking and entering in the area of 175 Dana Avenue in Hyde Park. Officers spoke to the victim who stated that he was in his bedroom when he was confronted by two suspects who were both later identified as juvenile males, ages 16 and 17, from Hyde Park. When the suspects learned that the victim had called the police, they fled the apartment on foot after taking several items including credit cards, savings bonds, cash and foreign currency. A short time later, additional responding units observed two juvenile males matching the given description in the area of 221 Garfield Avenue. The officers approached and spoke with the suspects who were found to be in possession of the stolen items. Both suspects were placed in custody without incident after being positively identified.  The suspects will appear in West Roxbury Juvenile Court where they will be charged with Delinquent to Wit: Breaking and Entering (Residence – Daytime).
