Who Needs an Elevator When You Can Take 30 Flights of Stairs??? Although the purported perps may have gotten away, you can't fault the members of the BPD K-9 Unit for a lack of effort. In fact, after receiving information at about 1:00am, Thursday, April 27, 2017, indicating four suspects were seen breaking into the still-under-construction high rise at 200 Brookline Ave, K-9's Duke and Rush (that’s Duke on the 28th floor in the photo) along with their handlers searched the entire building top to bottom checking all thirty floors, yah, we did say thirty floors, before issuing the all clear. For you Fitbit fanatics, the officers covered approximately 7,000 steps during the top to bottom search. Yet another example of the men, women and – of course – dogs of the BPD going above and beyond the call of duty to keep Boston safe. To all of our officers – we say: “Thanks for making Boston one of the safest big cities in America.”
