INCIDENT #1: At about 1:45 PM on Monday, June 26, 2017, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested two suspects and recovered a loaded firearm after responding to a call for an armed robbery in the area of 8 Evans Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located the victim who stated that he had just been robbed at gun point by three male suspects and that they had run into a nearby building located at 30 Dyer Street. Additional responding units set a perimeter and entered the building at which time they located Teshawn Hector-Coleman, 18, of Dorchester and a 17-year-old male from Mattapan who were both positively identified and placed in custody without incident. The third suspect who was observed brandishing a firearm during the robbery was not located after an exhaustive search. Officers later located and recovered a loaded .40 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun with an obliterated serial number which had been discarded behind the building. The juvenile suspect will appear in Dorchester Juvenile Court and will be charged with Delinquent to Wit: Armed Robbery and Breaking & Entering.  Hector-Coleman will appear in Dorchester District Court and will be charged with Armed Robbery Breaking & Entering of a Dwelling.

INCIDENT #2: At about 3:30 PM Monday, June 26, 2017, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested a 17-year-old juvenile male from Mattapan on firearm related charges as part of an ongoing investigation after performing a traffic stop in the area of Park Street and Geneva Avenue. The officers stopped a car that was operating as a ride sharing service in order to approach the suspect who was a passenger inside the vehicle. As the officers approached, the suspect immediately jumped out of the car and began running while clutching at the waistband area of his shorts. The officers pursued the suspect for several blocks until he suddenly stopped and turned back towards them while reaching for the handle of a firearm which the officers could now see protruding from his shorts. The officers quickly and aggressively placed the suspect in custody and recovered what was later determined to be a fully loaded .357 magnum revolver. The suspect will appear in Dorchester Juvenile Court on charges of Delinquent to Wit: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.

INCIDENT #3: At about 7:15 PM on Monday, June 26, 2017, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) and the District B-2 Drug Control Unit made an onsite firearm arrest after conducting a motor vehicle stop as part of an ongoing investigation in the area of 1990 Columbus Avenue in Roxbury. The officers were aware that the target of their investigation, Jose Rosa, 27, of Roxbury, was in possession of a firearm and was a passenger inside the vehicle that they had stopped. When the officers approached, the suspect attempted to exit the vehicle and flee on foot at which time a violent struggle ensued. The officers were eventually able to place the suspect in custody and then removed the driver, later identified as a 17-year-old from Roxbury, at which time they observed a firearm inside the vehicle. The officers then placed the juvenile suspect in custody without incident. As the officers were securing their prisoners for transport and attempting to process the vehicle which still had the firearm inside of it, a crowd of more than twenty people began to gather around the officers, yelling angrily and filming them on hand held devices while in close proximity to the suspect vehicle. The officers were forced to relocate the suspect vehicle to another location where it could be processed safely at which time they recovered the firearm which was found to be a loaded .380 caliber Kel Tec handgun and two plastic bags containing 46 grams of heroin. The juvenile suspect will be charged in Roxbury Juvenile Court with Delinquent to Wit: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Trafficking Class A Drugs, Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Laws and Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.  Rosa will be charged in Roxbury District Court with Trafficking Class A Drugs, Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Laws and Resisting Arrest.
