UPDATE: BPD Officers Arrest Second Suspect Wanted in Connection to Death Investigation in area of 165 Delhi Street in Mattapan

 

Two days after making an arrest in connection to the shooting death of 19-year-old Javoni Boyd, investigators have now arrested a second suspect who is also charged with murder. At about 6:00 AM on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, members of the BPD Homicide and Fugitive Apprehension Units located and arrested Kijana Walker, 20, of Dorchester, in the area of Greenock Street in Dorchester as a result of their ongoing investigation.  The suspect will be arraigned on a murder charge later today in Dorchester District Court.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the original incident are as follows:

At about 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 165 Delhi Street. On arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
