Investigation Update: Arrest Made in Connection to Non-Fatal Stabbing in Boston Common

Earlier today, at about 6:15 AM on Monday, July 31, 2017, members of the Boston Police Fugitive Unit arrested Victor Carrasquillo, 18, 0f Dorchester, in the area of 40 Gibson Street in Dorchester in relation to a non-fatal stabbing that occurred on the Boston Common. At about 5:20 PM on Wednesday July, 26, 2017, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a call for a person stabbed after a fight inside the park. On arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent stab wound who was quickly transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries which were considered serious. After a thorough investigation, the suspect was identified and taken into custody without incident. The suspect will appear in Boston Municipal Court where he will be charged with Armed Assault with Intent to Murder.
