Keeping Boston Safe: BPD Officers Arrest Four Suspects After Search Warrant Leads to the Recovery of Large Amounts of Heroin, Fentanyl and Cash in Jamaica Plain

On Saturday, July 1, 2017, officers assigned to the BPD City Wide Drug Control Unit executed a search warrant as part of a month-long investigation into an organized drug trafficking operation in the area of 42 Forbes Street in Jamaica Plain. As a result, officers were able to locate and recover more than 400 grams of heroin, 250 grams of fentanyl and $4,945 in cash. Officers then placed the targets of their investigation in custody without incident. Angel Martinez, 49, of Roxbury, Pablo Baez, 32, of Jamaica Plain, Carlos Melendez, 28, of Jamaica Plain and Maylelin Ramirez-Tejeda, 32, of Jamaica Plain have since been arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on multiple charges including Trafficking Class A and B Drugs, Possession of Class B Drugs with Intent to Distribute and Distribution of Class B Drugs.
