Boston Police Detectives Arrest Four Suspects in Four Hours in Prostitution Sting in Dorchester


Last night, Thursday, August 10, 2017, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) executed Operation “Dear John” in efforts to address quality of life issues and reduce prostitution activity on Dorchester Avenue in the areas of Park Street and Columbia Road. 

As a result of the sting, officers were able to arrest four “Johns” in less than four hours. Officers arrested 28-year-old Marvin Estuardo Alvarez Vasquez of Brighton, 39-year-old William Adolfo Vasquez-Hernandez of Dorchester, 30-year-old Valter C. Tavares of Dorchester, and 30-year-old Jerel Fields of Mattapan and charged them with Soliciting Prostitution.
