BPD Remembers the Service and Sacrifice of Officer Cornelius Regan and Detective James Troy

BPD Remembers: Today, we honor the service and sacrifice of two of Boston’s Finest who gave their lives in the line of duty on this date in history:

Police Officer Cornelius F. Regan, End of Watch, January 13, 1898, North Washington Street Bridge, Boston, District A-1.

Detective James J. Troy, End of Watch, January 13, 1930 Dilworth Street, South End, District D-4.

Although many years have passed, the weight of their sacrifice has never grown lighter. As you go about your business today, we kindly ask you to offer a prayer for our fallen brothers Cornelius and James and for all those left behind in the wake of their losses so many years ago.
