BPD Community Alert: Officers Investigating Breaking and Entering in the Area of Decatur Street, Charlestown

On Sunday, January 21, 2018, a female victim reported that her apartment had been broken into during the overnight hours. The victim reported several personal items had been removed from the apartment.

A witness reported that he observed a black male about 20 years old, 6' tall, thin build, wearing dark clothing, leaving the area at about 3:00 AM. 

A similar incident was reported to the BPD on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. For information on that incident click HERE.

Based on the similar suspect descriptions and other known facts in each of these incidents, the BPD believes that the same suspect may be responsible for both crimes. 

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding these incidents. Anyone with information on either of these incidents is strongly urged to contact the Boston Police Area A Detectives at (617) 343-4248.
