Keeping Boston Safe: Officers Recover Two Firearms, Arrest Two Suspects during Search Warrant Execution in Dorchester

At about 1:30 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2018, members of the District C-11 (Dorchester) Neighborhood Drug Control Unit, with the assistance of BPD SWAT, executed a search warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court in the area of 73 Charles Street.

As a result of the warrant, officers recovered the following items:

  • One loaded Kel-Tec PF9 9mm firearm with obliterated serial number
  • One loaded .22 caliber LA’s Deputy pistol
  • One plastic bag containing 10 small plastic bags of crack cocaine
  • One prescription bottle containing marijuana
  • One plastic bag containing 10 rounds of ammunition
  • Five cellular phones
  • $276 in US paper currency

Officers arrested 20-year-old Lacroix Pledger of Dorchester and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Firearm with Obliterated Serial Number, Possession of a Firearm while in Commission of a Felony, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Substance (Crack Cocaine), and Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana).

Officers also arrested 18-year-old Myssiah Pledger and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Firearm with Obliterated Serial Number, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Substance (Crack Cocaine), and Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana).

In addition warrant will be sought in Dorchester District Court for a third male present, a 21-year-old male from Dorchester, for firearm related charges.
