INCIDENT #1: At about 2:07 PM on Friday, January 26, 2018, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested two known suspects on firearm related charges in the area of 636 Harvard Street in Dorchester. The officers had stopped a motor vehicle as part of an active investigation which led to the recovery of a loaded 9mm Glock model 19 (see photo below) from underneath the front passenger seat. As a result, Teshawn Hector, 19, of Dorchester, and Taimeek Camillo, 26, of Dorchester, who were passengers inside the vehicle at the time of the investigation, were both placed in custody without incident. The suspects will appear in Dorchester Court on numerous charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm and Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device. Teshawn Hector will also be arraigned on three outstanding felony warrants, including one which had been issued for a prior instance of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
INCIDENT #2: At about 7:45 PM on Friday, January 26, 2018, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) and members of the Youth Violence Strike Force made an onsite firearm arrest after responding to a call for a person with a gun in the area of 58 Barry Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located an individual matching the given description inside a hallway on the second floor of the residence, later identified as Malcom Jones, 25, of Roxbury. When the officers approached to speak with the suspect, he quickly walked away from them while clutching the waist band area of his pants. The officers followed the suspect, who then darted into a room where he discarded a loaded .25 caliber Lorcin handgun (see photo below) before reemerging in the hallway. Officers placed the suspect in custody without incident after recovering the weapon which was in plain sight inside the room. The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying Loaded Firearm. All charges are 2nd and Subsequent.
INCIDENT #3: At about 1:46 AM on Saturday, January 26, 2018, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) recovered a loaded firearm (see photo below) after responding to a call for a disturbance in the area of Bower Street in Roxbury. While on scene, officers were able to safely locate and recover a loaded .40 caliber Glock handgun. This investigation remains active and ongoing at this time.
