Keeping Boston Safe: Search Warrant Enables Members of the E-18 Neighborhood Drug Control Unit to Seize Drugs, Money, Over 200 Rounds of Ammunition and a Gun

On Tuesday, February 27, 2018, members of the E-18 Neighborhood Drug Control Unit along with the Boston Police SWAT Team executed a search at 29 Arlington Street in Hyde Park. Once inside the location, officers discovered and confiscated the following: (1) Ruger P95DC 9mm firearm (2) three high capacity magazines (3) over 200 rounds of ammunition (4) $4831.00 in US Currency (5) 35 grams of crack cocaine (6) 12.5 grams of powder cocaine (7) 9.4 grams of Fentanyl (8) 4 scales and various other items commonly associated with illegal drug transactions. Additionally, officers arrested Darren Johnson, 36, of Boston and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Trafficking a Class B Drug (Cocaine), Possession to Distribute a Class B Drug (Fentanyl).
