UPDATE: BPD Homicide Detectives Arrest Second Suspect Wanted in Connection to Death Investigation in Area of 31 Whittier Street in Roxbury

 

BPD Homicide Detectives have identified Nicholas Sicellon, 18, of Dorchester, as the second suspect to be charged in connection to the murder of Alexander Mervin. Sicellon, who is currently in custody on an unrelated matter, will face arraignment in Roxbury District Court.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the original incident are as follows: At about 1:46 PM on Thursday January 11, 2018, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) heard the sound of gunfire while patrolling on foot in the area of 31 Whittier Street in Roxbury. Officers immediately ran towards the scene and promptly located a male victim in his early 20's suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The victim has since been identified as Alexander Mervin, 22, of Revere.
