Keeping Boston Safe: Three in Custody after Search Warrant Leads to the Recovery of Drugs, Money and a Gun in Dorchester

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 10:00 AM on Friday, May 18, 2018, officers assigned to the District B-2 (Roxbury) Neighborhood Drug Control Unit and members of the Youth Violence Strike Force executed a search warrant as part of an investigation in the area of 28 Greenwood Street in Dorchester. As a result of their efforts, the officers were able to safely locate and recover a loaded .25 caliber Fabrique Nationale handgun (see photo), several bags of crack cocaine packaged for sale and over twelve hundred dollars in US Currency. While still on scene, officers arrested Michael Wells, 29, of Randolph, Marc Wells, 28, of Randolph and William Allen, 23, of Mattapan without incident.

All three suspects are scheduled to appear in Dorchester District Court for arraignment and will face the following charges:

  • Michael Wells will be charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs (crack cocaine).
  • Marc Wells will be charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs (crack cocaine).
  • William Allen will be charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
