Investigation Update: Suspect Identified in Nonfatal Officer-involved Shooting in Hyde Park

The Boston Police Department has identified the suspect in the nonfatal officer-involved shooting that occurred on Thursday, May 31, 2018 in the area of 129 Westminster Street in Hyde Park.  Officers arrested 32-year-old John Mentor of Hyde Park and charged him with two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, two counts of Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Discharging a Firearm within 500 feet of a Dwelling. Mentor will be arraigned in West Roxbury Municipal District Court.
