One Less Gun: BPD Officers Arrest Two Suspects After Recovering Two Loaded Firearms During Two Separate Incidents in Less Than Half an Hour in Dorchester

INCIDENT #1: At about 3:01 AM on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury), with assistance from a BPD K-9 officer, made an onsite firearm arrest after performing a traffic stop in the area of 9 Washington Street in Dorchester. The officers had stopped a motor vehicle for a traffic infraction when they recovered a loaded .45 caliber Taurus PT145 Millennium Pro handgun. The suspect, Robert Perez, 20, of Roxbury, was placed in custody without incident and will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm and Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device.

INCIDENT #2: At about 3:28 AM on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) made an onsite firearm arrest after responding to a call for shots fired in the area of 414 Columbia Road in Dorchester. Responding officers stopped an individual who was observed fleeing the scene and placed him in custody without incident after recovering a loaded .45 caliber M&P Shield handgun. Manuel Negron, 23, of Mattapan, will be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying a Loaded Firearm and Possession.
