Keeping Boston Safe: Members of District B-3 Drug Control Unit Arrest One on Drug Related Charges in Roxbury: On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, members of the District B-3 Neighborhood Drug Control Unit were conducting a drug investigation in Roxbury when officers observed what appeared to be a drug transaction between an individual operating a motor vehicle and a second individual seen approaching the vehicle. As a result of their observations, officers approached and stopped the motor vehicle. The operator of the car, a 47-year-old male from Boston, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Class A Drugs (Heroin) Over 100 grams and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs (Cocaine) after significant amounts of both illegal narcotics were located inside the suspect’s vehicle. A BPD Drug K-9 assisted officers during the arrest and helped alert them to the presence of illegal drugs which were hidden inside the suspect’s vehicle. In total, officers were able to seize over 80 bags of heroin, 13 bags of cocaine and over $1200 in US Currency.
