BPD in the Community: Commissioner Evans Reads to the Kids at the Henderson School in Dorchester

BPD IN THE COMMUNITY: On Thursday, June 21, 2018, Boston Police Commissioner William Evans spent time reading books to the children at the Henderson School (Dorchester).  As you can see in the photos, Commissioner Evans had a blast hanging out with the kids while reading Caps for Sale. Said the Commissioner, "It’s so important for the kids to see us in a positive light. We want them to grow up knowing how much we care about them and their safety. And, getting the chance to read to them gives us a chance to share that message.”

The Boston Police Department would also like to extend their thanks to the Henderson School for inviting us to spend time with the children. We enjoy building positive relationships with the students and look forward to returning soon!
