BPD remembers the sacrifice of Lt. Benjamin Alexander who was killed in the line of duty on this day 93 years ago

#BPDRemembers: The blue flame at the #BPD Memorial burns forever bright for Lt. Benjamin Alexander, 42, who was killed in the line of duty during the Pickwick Club building collapse on this day 93 years ago (7/4/1925). Lt. Alexander was trailing and tracking a jewelry thief when the building collapsed. The collapse claimed the lives of 44 people. On this day, we take a moment to to honor and remember Benjamin's service and sacrifice, as well as, the hardships and heartache felt by the family he left behind which included his wife and six children.
