Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Quick Response Leads to Arrest After Breaking and Entering in Dorchester

 

At about 1:15 AM on Thursday July 5, 2018, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) and the BPD K-9 Unit arrested Jason Tench, 35, of Dorchester, after responding to a call for a breaking and entering at a business located at 2 Bowdoin Street in Dorchester. During the incident, the suspect was observed fleeing the building carrying a large white box containing cash. Officers canvased the area and located the suspect hiding inside a nearby park and placed him in custody without incident after recovering the stolen cash and other additional evidence. It was later revealed that the suspect was wanted on nine active warrants for various burglary related crimes. The suspect will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Breaking and Entering in the Night, Malicious Destruction of Property and Larceny from a Building.
