Daily Dose of Great Police Work: BPD Officers Arrest Five Suspects, Including Three Juveniles, During Two Separate Robbery Incidents

INCIDENT #1: At about 6:00 PM, on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, officer assigned to Area A-7 (East Boston) were flagged down for a robbery that occurred in the area of Condor Street and Glendon Street, East Boston. Four males were observed physically assaulting and robbing a 13-year-old male victim at knife point, stealing his glasses and shoes. All four suspects were positively identified and the victim’s glasses and shoes were returned to him. Two knives were recovered from the suspects. Monte Davis, 19 of Dorchester, and three juvenile males, all from Boston, were place under arrest and charged with Armed Robbery and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon. All four suspects will be arraigned in East Boston District Court.

INCIDENT #2: At about 7:39 PM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to assist Berklee College Police in the area of 31 Hemenway Street, Boston. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Berklee officers who stated that they had identified an armed robbery suspect from an incident that took place earlier that day in the area 1140 Boylston Street, Boston.

Circumstances surrounding the original incident are as followed:

At about 12:19 AM, on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to a call that a male had pulled a knife on two victims in the area of 1140 Boylston Street and demanded cigarettes. The suspect was described as a white male wearing ragged clothing, a blue sweatshirt with white lettering and jeans. Berklee officers observed a male fitting that description in the area of 31 Hemenway Street and immediately contacted the Boston Police. Officers from District D-4 soon arrived on scene and arrested Ryan Buckles, 33, of Boston, charging him with Intent to Rob While Armed. He will be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
