Keeping Boston Safe: Officers Arrest Three and Recover Illegal Firearms during Two Separate Incidents in Roxbury

Incident #1: At about 3:28 AM on Saturday, September 29, 2018, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) made an on-site arrest and recovered an illegal firearm in the area of Harrison Ave. and Dudley Street in Roxbury. Following a radio call for shots fired area of the above location, officers conducted a traffic stop of a motor vehicle operating without its headlights activated. During the traffic stop, officers observed the passenger to appear upset.  Further investigation led to the discovery of a loaded Armi Tanfoglio Giuseppe GT-27 Firearm and seven rounds of live ammunition. The passenger, later identified as Keith Woods, 29-years-old, of Dorchester was placed under arrest. Woods is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd and Subsequent Offence, Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Woods is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

Incident #2: At about 4:05 AM on Saturday, September 29, 2018, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) made an on-site arrest and recovered two illegal firearms in the area of 18 Palmer Street in Roxbury. Following a radio call for shots fired in the area of Harrison Ave and Dudley Street, officers observed a large group playing loud music inside of 18 Palmer Street.  Officers observed a significant amount of people entering and exiting the apartment. Officers attempted to gain entry to speak with the residents and were met with an unruly group. Upon entering the residence, an unknown black male threw a glass bottle at the officers, nearly striking them in the head.  Officers advised the individuals to leave the property or they would be placed under arrest for trespassing. Two male party-goers refused officers requests and continued to remain inside of the property. Following a brief struggle, officers were able to place both males under arrest. Officers retrieved a backpack one of the males had been wearing which contained a silver firearm. A sweep of the area allowed officers to recover an additional black firearm. Officers arrested Marc-Alphonse Simon, 23-years-old of Mattapan, and Moses Wilson, 39-years-old, of San Francisco. Simon is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2ND and Subsequent Offense, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Resisting Arrest, and Trespassing. Wilson is charged with Trespassing and Interfering with a Police Investigation. Both males are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
