BPD in the Community: BPD Officers Recognized and Thanked by Home Base for Participating in No-Shave November

BPD in the Community: On Thursday January 10, 2019, Brigadier General (U.S. Army, Retired) Jack Hammond, the Executive Director of Home Base, presented Commissioner William Gross with a certificate of appreciation to the Boston Police Department for participating in ‘No-Shave November’ in an effort to raise funds for veterans and their families.

Home Base is a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital program dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of veterans, service members and their families through world-class clinical care, wellness, education and research.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed with a special thanks to MBTA Officer Kurt Power and BPD Officer Jonathan O’Brien for their dedication to this initiative and for their continued support of Home Base.
