At about 6:45pm, on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, officers from Area B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for person being treated for a gunshot wound at the Boston Medical Center. On arrival, officers were informed that the shooting victim was in surgery. The victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced.The shooting is believed to have occurred near the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Townsend Street in Dorchester.
