On June 9, 2011 at 5:45pm, the Boston Police Harbor Patrol Unit responded to a radio call for a boat taking on water and people in the water in the reserve channel near Conley Terminal. On arrival officers observed a lobster boat at the scene with the victims aboard and a partially submerged boat along side. Officers asked the Captain of the lobster boat to take the victims to Berth 10 where they can be examined by Boston EMS. Officers then towed and moored the boat at Berth 10 and observed that the boat's bilge pump was pumping out the water. Officers observed damage to the boat's port side railing and front window. Officers spoke with a victim who stated while enroute to India Wharf a thunder storm formed and the waters became rough causing waves to break over the bow filling the boat with water. All victims stated that they were not injured in incident. Officer escorted the victims to their vehicle and assisted in mooring up their boat.
