At about, 8:57 AM, Monday, November 18, 2013, officers from District C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for an Assault & Battery in Progress in the area of 11 West Broadway St. (Starbucks), South Boston
On arrival, officers spoke to the male victim who was applying ice to an apparent injury. The victim, stated he was working behind the counter when he was approached by the male suspect who stated “What the **** did you give me last time? That wasn’t tea!” The victim stated the suspect then allegedly punched him in the face and fled the scene.
After speaking with witnesses in the area, officers determined the suspect boarded an MBTA bus. Officers located the suspect who claimed he exchanged words with the victim after complaining about the service he received during a prior visit to the Starbucks.
After further investigation, the suspect a 41 year old Dorchester man, was issued a summons to appear in South Boston District Court on charges of Assault and Battery.
