Boston Police Investigate Marijuana House in Roxbury

At about 11:00pm, on Friday, November 22, 2013, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a building fire at 10 Wyoming Street.

On arrival, officers observed the front of 10 Wyoming Street to be fully engulfed in flames. The dwelling was unoccupied at the time and the estimated damage was about $500,000. The fire is under investigation by the Boston Fire Department Arson Squad.

Boston Fire units on scene, discovered numerous amounts of drug paraphernalia throughout the house; and located an unknown number of marijuana plants in the basement and on the second floor. At this time, the district detectives were notified and the location was secured and frozen pending a search warrant.

During the investigation, 176 marijuana plants were recovered and collected as evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
