After an extensive investigation detectives from District B-3 have identified the suspect and referred him to a treatment facility.
Boston Police Department is investigating two separate reports of school aged youth being followed by a suspicious person(s), in the area of Bluehill Avenue and Stratton Street and Bluehill and Talbot Avenues. The incidents are as follows:
At about 4:21PM, the male juvenile victim reported while walking from school through Franklin Field, he noticed an unknown black male, described as dark skinned, in his 30’s, 5'08, with large lips, wearing a black jacket, black pants (possibly sweatpants) with a red rag hanging from his back left pocket, following him. The victim further reported the suspect at one point attempted to grab him from the back, but he was able to run away while yelling at the suspect, to get away from him.
At about 4:57pm, the female juvenile victim reported, walking down Westview Street from the Las Americas Variety Store, towards Ames Street when she noticed an unknown black male wearing a navy blue hooded sweat shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes, following her. The victim stated she became scared and started running. She further reported the suspect chased after her until she reached Ames Way.
Officers searched the area for the suspect/s to no avail. District B-3 (Mattapan) officers, as well as the Boston Police School Police Unit will have extra patrols in the area and encourage parents to report if their youth have contact with suspicious person/s.
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating facts and circumstances surrounding these incidents. Anyone with information is asked to call District B-3 Detectives at 617-343-4712.

- Parents should establish a route for children home and have them stay within familiar areas and surroundings.
- Remind kids not to enter strangers' homes or cars.
- Never cross the street from between parked cars. Always use crosswalks to ensure you will be seen.
- Report any suspicious person/s or criminal activity to the police.
