Police Release Sketch in an Effort to Identify a Suspect Wanted in Connection with a Robbery in Brighton

At about 4:33 AM, Monday, December 16, 2013, officers from District D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for a Robbery in Progress in the 300 block of Market Street in Brighton.

On arrival, officers spoke to the victim’s son, as the victim does not speak English. The victim stated that he was awoken in the middle of the night by the suspect, described as an Asian male, slim build, slim face, wearing a black knit hat, a blue jacket and blue jeans. The suspect spoke to the victim in Vietnamese. The victim stated that the suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded money from him. The suspect then went throughout the victim’s residence until he found a wallet. The victim stated he did not know what the suspect took from the wallet. The suspect then punched the victim in the face and fled on foot. Officers searched the area to no avail.
