Guilty Verdict: Eldrick Broom Convicted of Murder

Guilty Verdict: On Friday, December 20, 2013, a Suffolk County Jury returned a guilty verdict against Eldrick Broom, 29, of Boston convicting him of first degree murder for the death of Rosanna Camilo DeNunez, 34, of Mattapan.

At about 3:00pm, on Monday, November 21, 2011, officers from District E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to a call for an unresponsive female in the area of 50 Fairlawn Avenue in Mattapan. On arrival, officers discovered the body of the deceased. Approximately three weeks later, on Thursday, December 8, 2011, homicide detectives, armed with sufficient evidence, arrested and charged Eldrick Broom with Murder.

It is the hope of both the Boston Police Department and District Attorney's Office that this guilty verdict will in some small way bring with it a small measure of comfort and closure for the family of Rosanna Camilo DeNunez.
