Police Investigate Missing Firearms in the area of Belvedere St. and Dalton St.


At about 2:17 AM, Sunday, December 29, 2013, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle in the area of Belvedere Street and Dalton Street in the South End.

On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he had parked his motor vehicle at about 6:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2013, in the area of Belvedere Street (near Dalton Street).The victim stated that when he returned to his motor vehicle, he had observed the passenger’s rear window damaged and his glove compartment open. 

The victim stated to officers that after a day of shooting at an area gun club, his unloaded firearms, which had been secured in the trunk of his motor vehicle, had been stolen. Taken from the vehicle were the following:

  1. Spikes Tactical AR-15 Assault rifle Model# SL15
  2. Mosburg 12 gauge Shot Gun Model 500
  3. Ruger 22 caliber Rifle Model # 10-22
  4. Walter P22 Pistol
  5. Sig Sauer 45.caliber Pistol
  6. 223 caliber American Eagle Ammunition
  7. Remington 12ga. Double od Buck Shot Ammunition
  8. CCI Blazer Long Rifle Ammunition
  9. Winchester .45 caliber rounds of Ammunition.
