UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Death Investigation at 67 Blue Hill Avenue in Roxbury


On June 26, 2013, members of the Boston Police Fugitive Unit arrested Maurice Jones, 20, Roxbury for a straight warrant issued out of Suffolk Superior Court charging him with the April 17, 2012 homicide of Dinorris Alston at 32, of Roxbury.

Jones will be arraigned today in Suffolk Superior Court.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are as follows.

At approximately 4:05 PM, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person shot at 67 Blue Hill Avenue. On arrival, officers located a male victim (believed to be in his 30′s) and a female victim (age unknown) inside a vehicle both suffering from gunshot wounds. The male, suffering from a life threatening injury, was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. That victim was identified as Dinorris Alston, 30, of Roxbury. The female victim was transported to Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
