Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Police Arrest One for Destruction of Property in the area of 124 Charles St.


At about 1:55 AM, Thursday, January 2, 2014, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a radio call for a Breaking and Entering in the area of 124 Charles Street in the Downtown area.

While en route, officers observed an individual matching the description of the male suspect. Upon approaching the suspect, officers observed the suspect to be in possession of a red brick. The suspect was detained.

Officers spoke to a witness who stated that he had heard loud banging noises and when he looked out his window, he observed the suspect throwing multiple bricks at the storefront window of North River Outfitters, located at 126 Charles St. The witness stated that after multiple attempts, the suspect gained entrance to the store, causing damage to the glass window and the wooden frame.

The suspect was positively identified by a witness.

Arrested was James Watson, 48, of Boston. Watson is charged with Destruction or Injury of Personal Property.
