Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Police Arrest Woman Posing as a Cleaning Lady for B&E of a Residence


At about 4:10 PM, Tuesday, January, 28, 2014, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a radio call for a Breaking and Entering in the area of 1 Nassau Street in the Downtown Area.

On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that a female suspect had broken into several apartments in the building. A witness stated that he had received a text message from a resident notifying him of an unknown female in his apartment. The resident stated that upon returning to his apartment, there was a female present, when he confronted the suspect, she stated that she was cleaning the apartment. When officers approached the female suspect, who was in possession of two shopping bags and a women’s handbag, she claimed that she was trying to earn extra money cleaning. Officers placed the suspect under arrest.

Arrested was Eva McDonough, 56, of Everett. McDonough is charged with Breaking and Entering of a Residence.
