Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Boston Police Arrest Breaking & Entering Pair in Roxbury


At about 3:38pm, Thursday, January 30, 2014, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a Breaking and Entering in Progress in the area of 111 Winthrop Street in Roxbury. Officers were updated by operations the suspects were two males wearing black hooded sweatshirts and about 18-20 years old.

On arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he was completing some repairs on the property when he heard the door being kicked it. The victim stated to officers he observed the two suspects in the hall area and then the suspects fled towards Moreland Street.  Officers observed the damage to the door. 

Officers canvassed the area and observed the suspects in the area of Fairland Street and Winthrop Street. As officers approached the suspects, the suspects immediately separated from each other.  Officers spoke with the suspects and the first suspect reported his bicycle was stolen, while the second suspect proved a false name to officers. 

The male suspects, Raheem Robertson, 21, of Dorchester and a male juvenile, 17, of Dorchester were both arrested for Breaking and Entering (Daytime).
