Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Detective's Diligence Leads to Arrest of One in Brighton


At about 3:00 PM on Monday, October 6, 2014, officers from District D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for an unarmed robbery in the area of 1916 Beacon Street in Brighton.

On arrival, officers spoke to the cashier at the above location who stated she had been robbed of an undisclosed amount of US currency. Upon further investigation, detectives were able to determine that the Asian female suspect entered the store and asked to use the bathroom. At this time, the suspect carefully lit a fire in the bathroom in an effort to distract the victim and then returned to the cash register and forcibly removed an undisclosed amount of US Currency. Detectives were able to place the suspect under arrest on Thursday, October 9, 2014.

Arrested was 23-year-old Monet Lim of Allston. Lim is charged with Unarmed Robbery (Chain Store).
