Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Call for a Person with a Knife Enables Officers to Arrest One for an Outstanding Warrant


At about 11:40 AM, Tuesday, February 18, 2014, officers from District A-15 (Charlestown) responded to a radio call for a person with a knife in the area of 51 Austin Street (Bunker Hill Mall Shopping Center) in Charlestown.

On arrival, officers were informed that the suspect had fled the area and was walking toward the Bunker Hill Community College T station. While canvassing the area officers observed an individual matching the description of the male suspect near the train tracks located behind Bunker Hill Community College. The suspect had lacerations on his hands due to climbing over fence in an effort to escape officers.

Upon further investigation, officers were able to arrest the 20 year old suspect, Diohndre Brown, of Mattapan for an outstanding warrant issued out of Charlestown District Court.
