Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Officers Arrest One for Breaking and Entering to a Motor Vehicle in Dorchester.

At about 3:00 PM on Monday, March 31, 2014, members of the District C-11 (Dorchester) drug control unit affected an onsite arrest in the area of Bay & S. Sydney Streets in Dorchester.

While on patrol in the above location, officers observed a male talking on a cell phone and furtively glancing up and down the street as if he were looking for someone. The officers then observed the male walk over to a parked car, look up and down the street again, then quickly open the driver’s side door and climb in. The male then hurriedly climbed out, opened the rear driver’s side door, climbed back in, retrieved an item and put it in his pocket. The officers then saw the male get out of the car, open the trunk, look around, and then remove an audio speaker from the compartment. The officers observed the male carry the speaker up the street into Verde Electronics Services Store, where he placed the speaker on the counter next to a second identical speaker.

Officers approached the male and identified themselves. The store owners told the officers that the male had brought the speakers in to have them tested to make sure they worked. The male told the officers he just took the speakers out of the car, and he would just take them and go home. Further investigation revealed that the male was not the owner of the vehicle, nor did he know the owner of the vehicle. Thirty-two-year-old Huy Nguyen of Dorchester was arrested for Breaking and Entering to a Motor Vehicle and Larceny from a Motor Vehicle.
