One Less Gun: Boston Police Investigate Double Shooting and Recover Two Illegal Firearms on Lawrence Avenue


At about 5:22 AM on Sunday, July 13, 2014 officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of 72 Lawrence Avenue in Roxbury.

On arrival, officers observed several shell casings in the area of 72 Lawrence Avenue and located two male victims, both in their twenties, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

With K-9 assistance, officers were able to recover two firearms--a loaded Ruger .38 caliber and a black Glock 22.
