Law Enforcement Appreciation Night at Fenway Park

Prior to last night’s game (August 18, 2014) against the Anaheim Angels, the Boston Red Sox honored and recognized law enforcement officers on the federal, state and local level on a night dedicated to thanking law enforcement officers for their service and sacrifice to our region. As a part of the pre-game ceremonies, Boston Police Superintendent-in-Chief Willie Gross was asked to paint the rubber on the pitcher’s mound, the Boston Police Honor Guard was asked to display our nation’s colors and a bobblehead doll dedicated to Boston Police Officer & Sox Bullpen Cop Steve Horgan was passed out to the first thousand fans to pass through the gates at Fenway Park prior to the start of the game between the Red Sox and the Angels.
