Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Officers Arrest One After Break-In to Dunkin Donuts in Roslindale


At about 1:07 AM on Thursday, August 21, 2014, officers assigned to District E-5 (West Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a commercial alarm at the Dunkin Donuts in the area of 4610 Washington Street, Roslindale.

Upon arrival, officers observed that the drive-through window had been smashed with a rock. As the officers made their way to the rear of the establishment, they observed a male running from the building. The officers broadcast the description of the suspect and pursued him on foot. Officers were able to locate the suspect hiding in the heavy leaves and brush between two buildings a short distance away.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Nestor Reyes of Roslindale for Breaking and Entering a Building with Intent to Commit a Felony, as well as an active outstanding warrant. Evidence of the Dunkin Donuts break-in was found on Reyes's person during the booking process.
