BPD in the News: Boston Police Officers Accept the Ice Bucket Challenge

Thank you to Karen Anderson of WCVB Channel 5 News and Bree Sison of WBZ Channel 4 News for their coverage of the Boston Police Department as they accept the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness for ALS research. This morning, August 5, 2014, Boston Police Commissioner William Evans, Superintendent-in-Chief William Gross, members of the BPD command staff, Steve "Bullpen Cop" Horgan, and other police officers dumped ice water over their heads then challenged the Boston Fire Fighters to do the same in support of former Boston College baseball player 29-year-old Pete Frates who was diagnosed with ALS two years ago.
