PAL Sponsored Hockey Clinic All About Having Fun!!!

Although the start of the NHL season is still a little more than two months away, that didn’t stop Boston Police Officers Stephanie O’Sullivan and her brother Chris – both instructors at the O’Sullivan Hockey Academy - from coaching and coordinating a hockey clinic for close to 60 kids earlier this evening (August 7, 2014) at the Ryan Playground in Charlestown. Tonight’s clinic – sponsored by the Boston Police Athletic League (PAL) - was the first of two this summer. The second clinic is scheduled for next week at Garvey Park in Dorchester and Stephanie O’Sullivan says all are welcome to attend. Said Stephanie: “If you couldn’t make tonight’s clinic, we’d love to see you next week at Garvey Park in Dorchester. The clinics are designed for kids between the ages of 6 to 14 and anyone interested in learning about the game of hockey is encouraged to come on out and join us. Everybody’s welcome and having fun is one of the top priorities. In addition to fun, we also take the time to talk to the kids about the importance of being on a team, being a good teammate and being a good listener.” Tonight’s clinic featured several drills designed to strengthen a player’s puck handling, passing and shooting skills. Next week’s clinic is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Garvey Park in Dorchester.  To learn more about tonight’s instructors, click on the enclosed link:
