Daily Dose of Great Police Work: Officers Arrest Three for Trespassing in Roxbury

At about 12:54 AM on Friday, September 19, 2014, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) made three onsite arrests for trespassing  in the area of 205 Roxbury Street in Roxbury.

While assisting a unit in the area of 75 Malcolm X Boulevard, officers’ attention was drawn to what sounded like a fight in the rear of the Timilty School located at the above address. As officers continued to investigate the area, they observed a group of about 12-15 young males exiting the area in which several “No Trespassing” signs were clearly displayed. Officers entered the rear lot and observed a motor vehicle with two male occupants. As officers approached with their flashlights illuminating the vehicle, they observed the two occupants to appear extremely nervous, continually looking back at officers and attempting to exit the vehicle. The passenger obeyed officer commands to remain within the vehicle, but the operator of the car immediately fled on foot. A very brief pursuit resulted in the suspect being placed under arrest. At this time, several additional males began to enter the park and were notified that the park was closed and that if they continued to remain in the park, they would be placed under arrest. One individual refused to heed officer’s advice and was subsequently placed under arrest. As officers began to inventory the motor vehicle, as the registered owner could not be identified by any of the individuals on scene, a group began to gather outside of the park and proceeded to cause a commotion. One individual in particular was instigating the group who continued their attempts to incite police on scene. The male was placed under arrest for his disorderly conduct.

Officers arrested the operator, 20-year-old Mohamed Ali, of Portland, ME, 24-year-old Ahmed Ibrahim, of Dorchester, and 20-year-old Mohammed Moalim of Portland, ME. Ali and Ibrahim are charged with Trespassing while Moalim is charged with Disorderly Person.
