UPDATE: One Arrested in Connection with Death Investigation in the Area of 19 Yawkey Way


At about 2:00 AM on Thursday, November 26, 2015, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to the sound of shots fired in the area of 19 Yawkey Way, Fenway.

Upon arrival, officers observed a male in his late 20’s, later identified as 29-year-old Jephthe Chery of Hyde Park, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The Chery was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three additional male victims in their late 20’s also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Boston-area hospitals. 

On Tuesday, December 2, 2015, members of the BPD Fugitive Unit arrested 26-year-old male Dominique L. Carpenter-Grady of Dorchester for firearm-related offenses in connection with the above Thanksgiving Day shooting outside of 19 Yawkey Way. Carpenter-Grady will be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
