Snow Emergency Declared in Boston - Parking Restrictions Take Effect at 10:00pm: A Snow Emergency has been declared in the City of Boston and will begin at 10:00pm, on Saturday, February 14, 2015. In order to aid, assist and enhance snow removal efforts during the snow emergency, parking on main streets or major arteries will be prohibited. As such, if your car is currently parked on a major roadway, please move it. Cars parked on major roadways at the start of the Snow Emergency will be subject to towing. If you believe your car has been towed, please call the Tow Line at (617) 343-4629. Prior to towing and tagging, Boston Police Officers will use the loudspeakers in their marked cruisers to remind community members that a snow emergency is in effect and the tagging and towing of illegally parked vehicles is about to begin.
