Daily Dose Of Great Police Work: BPD Officers Arrest Suspect After Footchase in the South End

At about 8:04 PM on Sunday April 26, 2015, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a car being broken into in the area of 120 Saint Botolph Street.  While on approach, officers observed a suspect matching the given description walking in the area and approached to speak with him.  The suspect immediately fled, running down a nearby alley and even jumping on and over the hood of a police cruiser in an attempt to make good his escape.  The suspect continued to run but officers were unrelenting in their pursuit and eventually caught up to him near the Massachusetts Avenue MBTA Station.

The suspect, identified as Brian Jordan, 27, of Roxbury, was placed under arrest and charged with Breaking and Entering to a Motor Vehicle.  Officers recovered stolen property from the vehicle and returned it to the victim.  It was later revealed that the suspect was wanted on an outstanding warrant sought out of Dorchester District Court for Possession of a Firearm and Armed Robbery.  Officers later located and recovered a realistic looking black BB gun from inside a bag the suspect had been carrying.
